I am so happy to have your child in my first grade class this year! Last year, as parents of a Kindergartener, you had to suddenly give your child space to grow. It is common that you had many questions, concerns, and problems. This year, hopefully it is not as much of a challenge to become comfortable with the routine of the first grade. This blog is to help achieve multiple goals. Each parent needs to have multiple ways to communicate and contact me about any possible aspect of his/her child's education. Also, there are many different approaches and techniques in teaching. I appreciate any and all feedback; positive and negative. This blog will provide opportunities to gather ideas from each of the parents to ensure that each of the children and getting the most out of his or her education. Each opportunity I have to bring up different topics I will do so, especially surrounding upcoming events such as music programs, tests, the different concepts the class covers, etc. I also appreciate any topics parents want to bring up if you have concerns about recess, class routines, or even feedback about different subjects, it is all welcome! As the year progresses I will also post pictures of the students with each parent's consent. Remember that I am always available by email, phone, or by scheduling a meeting! I hope to have a wonderful year!
